What's the difference between ephemeral and timeless collections?

As you will have noticed in our stores and on our website, some of our collections are not re-edited when the products are sold out, while others are continuously present. At PPMC, we call these collections ephemera and classic, timeless collections.

Classics collections

The "classic" collections at PPMC are more timeless, more classic collections that can be worn all year round. Linen, velvet, denim, cotton gauze, all these prints are present all year round and are reproduced when there are breaks. In the latest classic collections, you'll find zebra, gold-and-white stripes or, like this winter, tufted hair. You'll also find plain shades that are ideal for straps, bag bases and make-up removal pads like gauze, suede or oxford. As these collections are most often in soft, plain shades, they pair perfectly with the more colorful, printed collections of our ephemeral collections. These classic collections are also available as fabrics by the meter or as coupons for pretty creations.

As you know, Papa Pique et Maman Coud is unique in that it releases a large number of collections every year. Floral, geometric, thematic...depending on the season and the time of year. To avoid overproduction and maintain this diversity of collections, the team only offers these prints for a short period. When the products in this collection are sold out, they are not reissued, hence the name ephemeral collections. These prints are always very colorful, in a variety of shades to appeal to as many people as possible! The latest: carré d'art, a geometric collection in shades of green and brown, appealing to women and men alike. The ephemeral or temporary collections are always in shades that go well with a classic collection: plain bag bases, velvet scrunchies, etc... For example, the tutti fleuri collection goes perfectly with the fine jeans, fuschia or navy blue collections. You can find these pairing ideas in our boutiques and on our website in the collection page.

What about children's collections?

Children's collections are often prints used in products designed for children and babies: bibs, satchels, diaper bags, etc., and are rarely reissued. There are exceptions, however, such as the dinosaur collections or those that work well.
