What size and type of bib for my baby?

From 0 to 6 months:
  • The baby bib (27 x 18 cm) in cotton or cotton gauze with a terry lining, it absorbs baby's spit-up and drooling. Adapted to the neck of the smallest, it will allow at first to catch all the regurgitations after the breast feeding or the feeding-bottle. It becomes very practical when baby starts drooling and teething.
  • The bandana bib (27 x 19 cm). We like its size adapted to babies and its look. It accompanies babies throughout the day by protecting their clothes from drooling. The bandana bib is most often worn outside of mealtime throughout the day, to protect the chest from excess drool, without hiding a nice outfit. No more wet clothes!
After 6 months:
  • As soon as baby starts eating, you'll appreciate the larger (36.5 x 26 cm), easier-to-clean plastic bib. Thanks to its coated cotton surface, your bib is waterproof and can be washed with a simple sponge. The little extra of this model: the recuperator to avoid dirtying baby when he eats.
  • Very useful for snacks or at the beginning of kindergarten, the maternal elasticated towels are made of cotton and terry cloth. They are put on by the head thanks to their elastic strap. Thus, the youngest children can put their towel on by themselves. Practical in schools and canteens that require a personal towel for children.
From 2 years old,
The napkin, in trapezoidal shape, very covering, with its elastic strap and ideal for the taking of the meals in all autonomy.

The baby sponge bib from 0 to 6 months

At Papa Pique et Maman Coud, we pay a lot of attention to quality and aesthetics. Thus, this model of bib is adorned with pretty printed cotton fabrics and cotton gauze that you can easily coordinate with your baby's outfit.

What are the advantages of the terry cloth lining?

Our bib is made of cotton or gauze fabric for the aesthetic side and a terry cloth lining for the reverse. This one has a great capacity of absorption. The regurgitations and the saliva will not be able to cross it and stain the clothes of your newborn. This terry lining is also very soft and comfortable, so your child will be comfortable when it's hot and he's shirtless. When your little angel enters the phase of food diversification, we advise you to opt for our coated cotton bib and its recuperator, more practical to retain the compote and the purees.

Will the scratch hold when baby pulls on the bib?

During the first months, children touch, pull and test everything they find. This is part of their learning process, which is why we've made the cratchhs so gentle that they won't pull the bib off. Nevertheless, it remains very easy to remove by parents, especially when your infant falls asleep during the bottle or the feeding, and it must be removed discreetly!

What are the advantages of the triangle shape?

The triangular shape of our bib allows it to have a unique and original design that looks more like a scarf. It will therefore have an aesthetic function in addition to its protective function, so you can match it with your child's outfits without hiding them. It is usually worn outside of mealtime when your little angel is having fun, it is also suitable for a family walk or when you attend ceremonies.

What to choose between cotton or cotton gauze?

At Papa Pique et Maman Coud, you have the choice between a cotton or cotton gauze cloth, lined with terry cloth to absorb all the baby's drool. Choose cotton and its fancy prints for its originality which becomes a real accessory in your child's outfit. Or go for the soft plain gauze that will match perfectly with your baby's clothes from birth.

Why fall for the Papa Pique et Maman Coud bandana bib?

We designed it so that all newborns can stay clean and stylish even with a bib! We paid a lot of attention to the aesthetics, thanks to our colorful patterns and prints, and also to the quality. Indeed, it resists to many washes in machine and is not afraid to be chewed by its owner! On the practical side, it is very easy to put on and take off thanks to a scratch, but will resist to baby's repeated attempts to remove it.

The waterproof bib from 6 months.

The plasticized bib is essential as soon as your baby starts to eat. It protects baby's clothes from food that falls out when your toddler learns to eat. This bib is easily attached around the neck with a Velcro fastener. The coated fabric of this model has many advantages during maintenance: waterproof, easy to clean, does not stain easily. The pretty printed fabrics will make everyone fall in love and will entertain your child with all its colors and patterns.

What is coated cotton?

The Papa Pique and Maman Coud plastic bib is made of coated cotton and a cotton terry lining. The coated cotton, or coated fabric, is obtained through a process called coating. This consists of applying a layer of transparent PVC to a textile which, after drying, forms a "plastic" layer. To guarantee the quality of our fabric and to protect your health, all our coatings are made without phthalates.

What are the advantages of coated cotton?

Coated fabric makes for a soft bib that you can easily fold and store in your diaper bag. Practical for transport, it is also practical during its use. Indeed, thanks to its small pocket that serves as a collector, it will catch all the spills before they end up on your child's clothes. Finally, the plastic coating, which makes it waterproof, allows a much simpler and faster maintenance, a sponge stroke is enough to clean it after the meal which avoids a daily machine washing.

What is the difference with a plastic bib?

The plastic bib is more rigid than our plastic bib and can only be cleaned by hand with a sponge. This bib is easier to store (it can fit in a purse!) and can be machine washed for optimal cleaning. It is more like a sleeveless apron bib.

The napkin for children from 2 years old.

This elastic napkin is ideal for children from 2/3 years old who start school and even for children from 4 to 6 years old. It allows them to gain autonomy during their meals at home or at the canteen. Thanks to its elastic band, it is very easy to put on for your little ones. It has also been designed to be wider (35 x 31cm) at the bottom to avoid food falling on their clothes.

Lightweight, it slips easily into your child's small backpack and hangs easily around his neck thanks to its elastic band. The small cloth towel is available in a wide range of our children's colors and has a cotton terry lining for even more protection.

How to care for PPMC bibs and napkins?

All our bibs and napkins are machine washable at 30°C. We advise you to air dry them afterwards.

Remember to close the Velcro before putting the bib in the machine to avoid damaging other clothes!
And be sure not to use fabric softener to wash plastic bibs.

We have also paid attention to the quality of the fabric (cotton fabric or cotton gauze), the terry cloth lining of our bibs and the coating so that they resist regular machine washing. They keep their colors and absorbency.
