How to clean and disinfect your changing mat
The changing mat is the must have when you are a parent! Essential for baby to lie down when changing, it is good to clean it regularly like your sheet sets.
Our PPMC changing mat is designed with a coated side and a terry side. The coated fabric on one side allows you to spread the changing mat everywhere, without soiling the bamboo terry side on the other side. The coated cotton fabric (like all our coated fabrics) of the changing mat is waterproof and water-repellent; it doesn't let liquids through. No more leaking liniment, no more lotion flooding the changing bag! The bamboo sponge has been carefully selected to absorb spills and above all to guarantee softness for your baby during his or her cleansing and wash-up.
To clean only the coated fabric, a sponge stroke is enough.
If it is nevertheless very stained, you can put it in the washing machine at 30° like all the accessories in coated fabric. Just remember to put some stain remover on the terry cloth before the machine. To wash by hand, use Marseille soap and water!
A little tip to keep the terry cloth white: put eggshells in a wash bag!
If you travel or go out a lot, it is ideal to have at least two mats so that you always have one available when the other is being washed.

What is the difference with a plastic bib?
Plastic bibs are much stiffer than our plastic bibs and can only be cleaned by hand with a sponge. With our bib, you can store it more easily (it can fit in a purse!) and machine wash it for optimal cleaning.
