Hair Tutorial: The Directional Braid

In partnership with the Scotto di Cesare Hair and Beauty School in Vannes, Papa Pique et Maman Coud is excited to bring you a hair tutorial to create a beautiful braid.

With wedding, baptism, and communion season approaching, it’s the perfect time to try out original hairstyles that are easy to do and beautifully accessorized with PPMC barrettes.

This is the first tutorial featuring Clémence, an instructor at Scotto di Cesare, and her model Caroline, a beauty student. The hairstyle is a sculpted, twisted directional braid—perfect for making a statement at a special event (or just for feeling fabulous on an ordinary day… if you have 20 minutes and a hairstylist by your side).

A Few Words About the Scotto di Cesare School

Founded in 1989 in Vannes, the Scotto di Cesare school is renowned throughout the region—and even beyond. The school doesn’t just train future hairdressers or salon managers. It also participates in around 50 events every year, such as fashion shows, and competes in national and international competitions that involve artistic hair design, hair sculpting, and body painting.

True works of art are crafted by the fairy fingers of its students.

Scotto di Cesare has one school in Vannes and operates seven salons across Brittany. Every year, the school welcomes around 200 enrolled students.
