How to Properly Use a Fabric Mask

Since lockdown restrictions have eased, wearing a mask has become mandatory on public transport and in certain public spaces. If you’re using a fabric mask, it’s important to follow a few key rules for proper use.

Care Instructions:

  • Wash in the machine at 60°C (140°F) for at least 30 minutes,

  • Do not use fabric softener,

  • Dry within 2 hours using a tumble dryer or a hairdryer,

  • Inspect the mask before use discard it if it’s damaged (holes or distortion).

Wearing Instructions:

  • Wash your hands before putting on your mask,

  • Handle it by the elastic straps only,

  • Make sure it’s snug on your face with no air gaps,

  • You can wear your fabric mask for a maximum of 4 hours,

  • To remove it, use only the elastics avoid touching the fabric.
