PPMC is committed to environmentally friendly purchasing, protecting consumer health, and promoting solidarity, diversity, and sustainable development. And when we say sustainability, we also mean sharing. This is something we apply daily, donating our leftover fabrics to associations when they are not taken by designers.

Trusted Partners for Ethical Fashion

Each year, Papa Pique et Maman Coud supports Ingalan, an association that has been promoting the development of an organic cotton production chain in West Africa since 1998, and which became Fairtrade certified in 2004.

In Senegal, Mali, Burkina Faso, and Benin, Ingalan raises awareness and trains artisans in these production techniques. PPMC has been by Ingalan’s side in St Nolff, with a dedicated stand for eco-friendly fashion, including sales of items from our organic cotton range, such as our Sac&Zip bags.

This commitment to Ingalan is especially dear to us. Initiated by our director, Nam Pham, respect for environmental values is a driving force in our daily decisions. As a result, a Sustainable Development Charter was drafted and approved in 2012. Every day, PPMC acts with social and ethical responsibility in mind, reflecting this in its relationships with customers, employees, and suppliers.

Our Sustainable Development Charter

The work on our Sustainable Development Charter began in 2009, guiding our daily operations. Our aim is to promote the responsible purchase of organic cotton fabrics to move towards more sustainable fashion. In line with our ethical fashion approach, we also aim to encourage our suppliers to join this movement, so that they can offer us more and more organic cotton fabrics.

Today, we have succeeded in ensuring that organic cotton represents 37% of all our fabrics and we don’t intend to stop there! The PPMC team also carefully selects its suppliers, making sure their manufacturing respects both employee and consumer health.

Every year, we meet our partners in Tunisia, Bulgaria, the Philippines, Thailand, and France, and we always ensure compliance with international labor and social standards.

A Global Ethical Approach

In our commitment to sustainable and responsible transformation, we are constantly rethinking our packaging to make it more ethical. We also focus our supply purchases on environmentally friendly products, promoting eco-responsible fashion accessories and clothing.

Our CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) commitment also extends beyond production. PPMC takes pride in offering participative management, where everyone can develop their skills and pursue roles based on their interests.

One of the unique aspects of Papa Pique et Maman Coud: depending on skills, aptitudes, and talents, everyone has the opportunity to share their working hours between different roles within the company. The goal is to foster personal growth for every employee. Today, PPMC employs nearly 50 people in France, reaching up to 100 during peak season our staff has doubled in just five years.
